Gary Vee said raise prices. AI flipped that. Hereās what weāre doing instead. Plus this weekās digital asset news.

In the early 2010s, Gary Vaynerchuk famously told entrepreneurs to keep raising your prices until your potential clients tell you to fuck off.
And for a long time, that advice held up. Especially in agency land. Price was often a proxy for value. You charged more, you were taken more seriously.
But here we are in 2025, and the landscape has shifted.
Today, with productized AI, itās the other way aroundā¦

You need to keep dropping prices until you can tell the customer to fuck off. (Respectively, of course, I am British after all).
Weāre at a moment where expectations are soaring and pricing pressure is getting tighter. Especially for AI-powered services. Customers want speed, clarity, results, and increasingly at a price that feels effortless.
Thatās why at LetterOperators, weāre moving from three newsletter formats to just one.
Originally, we offered:
Analysis (long-form editorial)
Digest (short curated blurbs)
Hybrid (a mix of both)
But after dozens of customer onboardings, the outcome is clear.
95% of people end up on the same template.
So weāre simplifying.
One format. One proven layout. The one that gets the best results.
Weāre doubling down on what works, making the delivery even more efficient, and giving people a smoother experience.
And in line with that, weāre now considering reducing our core price from $499/month to $399/m for all new customers.
Not because weāre worth less.
But because in a world of productized AI, value = outcome + efficiency.
The more streamlined our engine, the more we can deliver for less. Without sacrificing quality.
It also makes our service easier to say āyesā to. Especially for startups, agencies, and solo operators who want high-quality newsletters without editorial headaches. And at that price point, it would work out to under $99 per weekly send.
Until we choose to drop prices, happy to offer $399/m pricing to DAI subscribers, just hit reply.
That said, streamlining also means setting clearer boundaries.
We unfortunately had to part ways with a long-time customer last week. Someone we genuinely liked. But we were no longer willing to do custom editorial edits after delivery.
Itās not a quality issue. Itās a structure issue.
As we scale, we need to protect the simplicity that makes the service work. For everyone.
If youāre running an agency, this shift also makes licensing our workflow even easier to scale.
2025 pricing isnāt about what you can charge. Itās about what you can deliver at scale without losing your mind.
