Hey there 👋,

Twelve years ago, I published Coffee Shop Entrepreneurs — written entirely from cafés.

This month, I’ve gone full circle.

I still use my three free WeWork passes (thank you, Revolut Ultra — the barista bars alone are worth it).

But my real workspace again? Coffee shops.

And it’s not just nostalgia.

It’s strategy.

⚙️ The Power of Subtraction

Over the last week, I did something most creators won’t:

I deleted half my subscribers from Digital Asset Investor.

Anyone who didn’t open at least 5 of the last 8 issues — gone lol.

Why?

I cut half the list so I could launch a newsletter for LetterOperators and stay under beehiiv’s 10K plan (reserve your spot for their Winter Release Event).

But honestly, I wanted something better than a middling-sized list — I wanted insane 80% open rates.

Those who open, open hard. The rest? 40% vibes from 2020.

It’s the same mindset that drives how I build, invest, and now even work:

→ prune the dead weight

→ stay liquid

→ protect optionality

Freedom isn’t scale.

Freedom is frictionless.

🧠 From Coworking to Coffice, From Scale to Focus

Coworking spaces promise community — but often create inertia.

You start paying for predictability, not performance.

Coffee shops give me what digital assets give investors:

  • Decentralization (no fixed base)

  • Liquidity (move anytime)

  • Asymmetry (massive upside from small bets — or tables)

The coffice is more than a vibe — it’s a system upgrade: ambient noise for flow, freedom for strategy, and minimal fixed costs.

Plus I crush online poker on GG sitting in my favourite cafe every morning:

💡 The 2025 Operating System

Here’s the OS I’m running now:

  • 4-hour workweek on LetterOperators

  • 3 WeWorks a month, coffee shops daily

  • Tesla for mobility

  • Poker for clarity

  • Beehiiv for ownership

  • Optionality for peace

It’s not minimalism — it’s structural efficiency.

Every element earns its keep or gets cut.

That’s what freedom looks like in the AI + digital asset era.

☕ Takeaways

  • Pruning is power.

  • The coffice model is a metaphor for decentralized living.

  • Less scale, more signal.

  • Optionality compounds faster than effort.

  • Liquidity isn’t just financial — it’s mental bandwidth.

Have you pruned something recently — subscribers, commitments, investments — that gave you back optionality?

Hit reply and tell me what you cut.
